* Premium members can take AI speaking tests without a test credit while they have at least 5 minutes of the day's AI hour left; a test counts towards that hour. Extra speaking minutes and test credits can also be bought in the app, with the price shown before you pay.
Lessons with a teacher
One-to-one lessons: pay for the ones you take
Lessons are not part of either plan. Each teacher sets their own price for 30 and 60 minutes, and you always see it before you book.

Choose a course and tap one of the soonest free times across all teachers — or choose a teacher first and see their week.
30 or 60 minutes
Book at least 2 hours ahead. Times are shown in UK time and in your own time zone.
Pay by card or credits
Pay for the lesson when you book, or use lesson credits. An unpaid booking is held for 15 minutes.
Online, in the app
Your lesson takes place in the app’s own video room, on your phone or computer.
Cancel 24 hours ahead
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start and you get your payment or credit back.
Small groups
The college also runs online group classes. Ask the office about current groups and start dates.
Questions about paying
What does EEC Premium include?
Everything in the app except classes: every book, story, podcast and test, up to 1 hour of AI speaking a day and 50 AI writing checks a day. It costs £15 a month or £150 a year.
Can I cancel Premium?
Yes, any time. Premium does not renew by itself — it simply ends at the end of the month or year you paid for.
Are lessons included in Premium?
No. Premium covers everything in the app, but classes and one-to-one lessons are paid separately, so you only pay for the lessons you take.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
If you cancel at least 24 hours before the start, you get your payment or credit back.
